"Born in Iran, Stella spends her childhood in exile, living with her megalomaniac sister in Switzerland. At age 13, a suitcase in one hand, an Elvis Presley album in the other, she hops a midnight train to Munich.

To survive the difficult early teen years as a runaway, and to obtain work permits, she dances in nightclubs all over Europe, and takes a job as a secretary at the American Embassy in Germany.

Age 18, she is discovered and becomes the star of the world famous Crazy Horse de Paris. She quits to pursue a career as a recording artist, but the French government crashes the party and refuses to renew her work visa. With barely more than the suitcase she arrived with, Stella takes a taxi to Paris airport...embarks on a journey to destination unknown...wakes up on a plane in New York...(where am I?!), and in Las Vegas, she meets Elvis and witnesses his tragic final curtain fall.

Shortly after, with Iran in turmoil, she gives up her Iranian passport, marries an Irish-American for love, and waits 20 long years for the U.S. government to grant her a green-card. Steamy sex, rock stars, Oscar winning Hollywood movie stars, directors, and a French president...A bumpy ride to find a home, sweet home - USA
